Beginnings
Our studio owner Jodie opened her first Bikram Yoga school in Harbord in 1998. In June 2001, as more and more people discovered the benefits of this amazing yoga, she relocated to a much larger space in Wattle Road, Brookvale and Bikram Yoga Brookvale was born!
The Yoga Room
Our yoga room is large and light-filled. We know Bikram Yoga is sweaty, so the room is aired after every class and sprayed daily with natural essential oils. The carpets are cleaned weekly and steam-cleaned every fortnight.
Our spacious "chill-out area" is perfect for relaxing and recovering after class. We also provide changing rooms and hot showers. (towels available for hire).
What else happens here. . .
We also offer several natural therapy practitioners to complement your yoga practice. Our chill-out space is also an art gallery, where we exhibit regularly changing work by local artists.
There is always something going on at our school - workshops, meditation classes, posture clinics. |

Getting here
Located just off Harbord Road, we are easy to reach by bike, public transport or car. There is plenty of parking outside and in surrounding streets. In busy periods we recommend parking in Amourin St, just south of Wattle Road. Amourin always has plenty of spots and there is a lane through to Wattle Road about half way down.
We are a 10 minute walk east from Warringah Mall, the main bus route for all the Northern Beaches.
Over the years our school has evolved to become a wonderful welcoming community. Our mission is to continue to share the benefits of Bikram Yoga with as many people as possible, bringing optimal health and happiness. We see those benefits daily through the happy smiling faces of our students!
